How do Sigiskin products help with hyperpigmentation?

What exactly is hyperpigmentation?

When your skin produces more melanin, patches of your skin will appear darker than your natural color. It is caused by overproduction of melanin, a form of brown pigment. This can make spots or patches of skin appear darker than surrounding areas. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the more common causes of hyperpigmentation are sun exposure, sun damage, skin inflammation or medical conditions.

There are several types of hyperpigmentation - Melasma, sunspots and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Hyperpigmentation is harmless, but some people might want to get rid of it as it affects your physical appearance to a certain extent. Hence, wearing a sunscreen is a must! Try our physical sunscreen, Morning Glow. It contains SPF 50, and is packaged in a compact tube - easy to carry around for re-application as you go about your day. The greater your exposure to the sun, the greater your risk of increased skin pigmentation. Hence, applying sunscreen daily is important to reduce hyperpigmentation.

Other than wearing sunscreen, other methods to reduce hyperpigmentation includes wearing caps or hats to protect your skin from the sun. Or even avoiding the harmful sun rays from 10am-4pm, where the sun is typically the strongest and most harmful.
