Skincare ingredients you can (and should) be mixing

Ever heard of a skincare smoothie? No, it’s not a blend of your favourite fruits and vegetables, but rather, a concoction of your favourite skincare products, all applied at once. A skincare trend taking off on Tiktok, “skin smoothies” are a blend of serums, moisturisers, dew/bronzing drops, oils etc to achieve glowy, dewy skin.
A simple search on Tiktok or Instagram will reveal a myriad of videos of influencers mixing skincare products that have a specific appeal that I would personally describe as “deliciously hydrating”. Which is likely why this trend has been a buzzword as of late, aside from the glistening complexion shown by incorporating these “smoothies”. Aside from being beneficial from your skin, people have found joy in creating their own personal skincare blends and today, we’re here to show you how you can do it (the right way)!
Here are some skincare ingredients that you can (and should) be mixing in your routine:
-
SPF and Vitamin C
The perfect morning blend, mixing Vitamin C into your SPF enhances the protective effects of your sunscreen while defending against oxidative skin damage. Add a few pumps of Daylight Oasis with 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, the purest form of Vitamin C, into Morning Glow with SPF 50 for a dewy skin smoothie that hydrates and protects throughout the day.
-
Hyaluronic acid and ceramides
Incorporate these ingredients into your skincare routine to transform your skincare counter into a hydration station. While ceramides, which have a thicker consistency, help restore the skin barrier and retain moisture, hyaluronic acid, with lightweight texture, draws moisture from the air into your skin. Try our Youth Beam Night Serum or our Blissful Radiance Hydrating Anti-Acne Serum, both infused with Hyaluronic Acid, followed by our Gentle Gaze Eye Cream around your eyebags or smile lines to lock in the moisture and achieve deep hydration.
-
Niacinamide and every other ingredient
The universal ingredient, Niacinamide can be mixed with pretty much any skincare active due to its hydration, anti-inflammatory and skin barrier protection benefits. It is, however, advised to avoid mixing with exfoliating acids for sensitive skins as the combination may cause irritation. You can easily incorporate Blissful Radiance Anti-Acne Serum, Morning Glow Sunscreen and Idyllic Fields Day Moisturiser which contain niacinamide into your daily skincare routine for plump, elastic skin!
