Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant naturally found in skin. Topical CoQ10 has demonstrated antioxidant activity in skin research, and longer-term use in one study was associated with a reduction in the visible depth of crow’s-feet wrinkles.

Ceramides are lipids naturally found in the skin barrier. Research in aged skin has shown that formulations combining ceramides with cholesterol and fatty acids can help support barrier recovery.
