A deep cleanse guide to reset your skin

A deep cleanse guide to reset your skin

Sunday resets are a quintessential part of weekends, for me at least. A day to recenter and recover, it sets the tone for the next week and detoxifies your system from the last. And similar to your living spaces, deep cleaning your skin once a week revitalises and rejuvenates it from within, preparing it to take the brunt of stress, build up and dirt from the pollution and weather throughout the week. It clears your complexion, improves skin texture, allows for better absorption of skincare actives and stimulates blood circulation.

With so many benefits to this practice, we’re here to give you the ultimate step-by-step deep cleanse guide for your skin to restore your skin’s luminosity and health:

  1. Double Cleanse

A routine that should be done at the end of each day, remove makeup, dirt and oil effectively with this practice birthed from K-skincare. We recommend our Kaleanser, a gentle gel cleanser infused with kale and soy extracts, once to remove makeup, sunscreen and oil and another time to pull dirt and bacteria out of your pores.

  1. Exfoliate

Exfoliating 1-2 times a week removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores, and prevents skin flaking, breakouts, and texture. Apply a pea sized amount of Bright Skies, a clear gel exfoliator, on all clean, dry areas of the face. Gently massage the gel into your skin and watch the dead skin sloth off without the use of physical abrasives.

  1. Weekly masks

To top off your routine, treat your skin to a purifying mask to extract impurities, and draw out excess sebum and bacteria. We recommend our Garden Party Clay Mask which boasts a unique blend of 2 clays - Kaolin and Bentonite to lift the skin and minimise the appearance of pores. Apply a generous layer onto clean, dry skin, leave on for about 5 - 10 minutes and gently rinse with lukewarm water.
