What are pores?

They are small openings on your skin in which oil, sweat and dirt are trapped in it. There are 2 types of pores - sweat pores and oil pores. It allows the oil generated by the sebaceous glands to seep into the skin surface and lubricate the skin. The presence of sebum helps keep our skin healthy and moisturized. However, over production of sebum is not good either as your skin will appear oily.
